We have all been there. Rushing to the airport to catch a plane that might or might not be waiting for us.

Just recently a idea popped right into my brain. I was driving at full speed to catch a plane at the airport and it occurred to me it was extremely dangerous.

Having studied economics I quickly thought to myself, ‘what price would I pay to make certain that I will catch my plane in a safe way? ‘

The cost of airport parking is already so outrageous that the little more I could have paid for bus hire, minibus hire, or coach hire costs a fragment more had I been organized enough to have ordered one. It is straightforward mathematics, there is actually no reason not to snatch a car, airport bus, airport taxi or maybe even a party bus or charter bus.

These thoughts are travelling thru my head as I fly past a taxi to the airport and I see the care free relaxed look on the face of the passenger. My knuckles are white and I am mentally kicking myself now convinced that I will not reach my plane.

I now make it to the rental automobile turn off and see directions for airport transport, airport transfers and bus services. It is like the airport is making fun of me. Ultimately I make it to the airport and now find myself locked in a maze of parking structures and floors. I foolishly hope that I can find parking on the first floor next to the elevator.

Four floors later I finally manage to pull my vehicle into a spot after virtually running over a few pedestrians. My underarm sweat stains have grown from small invisible patches to it looking like I just leapt into a pool. I charge down the airport hall with my luggage flying over my shoulder only to find my plane has just closed the doors and I'll have to catch the subsequent flight. If only I had taken an airport shuttle, I tell myself. I hope next time rather than flying I can book a bus tour or coach tour to my destination.
